Title: Who actually reports to who? I’m tired of playing “United Musical Chairs” with my workflow.

I’m staring at a project roadmap that has more dotted lines than a highway in a blizzard. How is it that I have to get sign-off from four different “centers of excellence” just to update a process that’s been broken since 2019? United loves to preach “alignment,” but our matrix structure is just a fancy way of saying nobody has the authority to actually make a decision. I’m currently stuck in a tug-of-war between a functional lead who wants speed and a regional stakeholder who’s obsessed with bureaucratic gatekeeping. I spend 70% of my week chasing signatures and attending "alignment syncs" that should have been emails, while the actual operational fires continue to burn. We’re bleeding efficiency because middle management is too busy protecting their own fiefdoms to actually facilitate work. If I have to explain the same logic to another committee that doesn't hold the budget anyway, I’m walking. Stop the matrix theater. Let us do the job we were hired for.
