Does anyone else feel like we’re steering a massive ship while the bridge is empty?

I keep staring at my dashboard metrics, watching the numbers shift, and I can’t shake this knot in my stomach. Every time a new "strategic pivot" drops from the top, I look at my manager, and they look at the floor. It’s that same silence we always get—the one that screams *we don't know why we're doing this either.* We’re pushing these massive payment solutions through the pipes, but the decisions driving our roadmap feel like they’re being made in a vacuum. It’s like we’re layering complexity on top of complexity just to hit a quarterly target, while the actual infrastructure feels like it’s fraying. Who is actually holding the wheel? When things miss the mark—and they have been—it’s always just a shrug and a "re-alignment" instead of an explanation. I’m tired of waiting for the other shoe to drop. Am I the only one terrified that we’re building a house of cards, or is this just how it feels to work here now? I just want to know if I'm betting my career on a sinking ship.
